Darts For Arch
May 16, 2020
The 5th Annual Darts For Arch tournament will tentatively be held on May 16, 2020 at the VFW. (flyer will be posted by March, 2020)
The event will once again sanctioned by the American Darts Organization, and for the fourth consecutive year the Youth 501 events were ranked by the World Darts Federation. Darts For Arch is the smallest tournament in the country to have WDF ranked youth events.
Darts For Arch is held in honor of Bob Archbold. Sadly, Bob lost his life in August of 2015 after a long battle with heart disease. He was a member of past SCDO Baker Cup Champions "The Treblemakers", as well as being a leader in the Upstate SC dart scene. As a past ADO National Youth Manager, he helped start and gave support to the youth league.
So to honor his memory, the SCDO decided to have a tournament that celebrates youth darts. All proceeds from this tournament will go towards sending youth to the ADO Youth National Championships.
This will be the first year for the VFW hosting the event, after Carter's Steak & Seafood hosted the last three. We would like to thank both Carter's and the LBCC, who hosted the first event, for their support in getting the tournament off the ground. While we are sad that the tournament is moving, we are looking towards future growth with a much larger space.
We are thankful for those that help sponsor the event. Without these sponsors the event would not be the success that it is. Please take a moment to thank all of these great supporters of youth darts!
If you would like to help sponsor this years event please get in touch with the SCDO. With the added event and day, this years sponsorship is worth even more.
If you have any questions about this tournament or the SCDO, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
