Darts For Arch
May 20th, 2017
The 3rd Annual Darts For Ach tournament was held on May 20, 2017 at Carter's Steak & Seafood.
The event was once again sanctioned by the American Darts Organization, and for the second consecutive year the Youth 501 events were ranked by the World Darts Federation. Darts For Arch is the smallest tournament in the country to have WDF ranked youth events.
Darts For Arch is held in honor of Bob Archbold. Sadly, Bob lost his life in August of 2015 after a long battle with heart disease. He was a member of past SCDO Baker Cup Champions "The Treblemakers", as well as being a leader in the Upstate SC dart scene. As a past ADO National Youth Manager, he helped start and gave support to the SYDL.
So to honor his memory, the SCDO and SYDL decided to have a tournament that celebrates youth darts. All proceeds from this tournament will go towards sending youth to the ADO Youth National Championships.
This is the second time that Carter's has hosted the event, and again this year, we are thankful that Bruce Carter and his staff donated the use of the room free of charge. If you attended, you know how great his staff was and how great a location it is.
We are thankful for those that helped sponsor the event. Without these sponsors the event would not be the success that it is. Please take a moment to thank all of these great supporters of youth darts!
